International Workers’ Memorial Day is a global day we recognise each year to remember workers who have lost their lives or suffered injuries and illnesses in the workplace.

On this day we focus on raising awareness of victims who have been exposed to asbestos in the workplace about the importance of health and safety in the workplace. It is a time to honour and pay tribute to those who lost their lives after being diagnosed with an asbestos related disease.

There will be several event running on this day throughout the country on 28th April 2026.
