Despite the 1999 ban on asbestos, we strongly suspect that products contaminated with asbestos are still finding their way into the UK.

Many of our imports come from countries where asbestos has, sadly, not yet been banned.
The Forum is calling for effective controls and enforcement to prevent the import of asbestos-containing materials into the UK.
