We have met with Cape, a former asbestos manufacturer now owned by Altrad, to discuss our demand for £10 million for mesothelioma research. We regret that an agreement has not been reached. Our campaign will resume with immediate effect. Please support the protests in Barking Town Square at 3pm on Monday 10th July, and outside the Cape/Altrad office in Warrington on Monday 17th July.

New documents obtained after a bitter legal battle show that Cape hid the true dangers of its asbestos products in the 60s and 70s. Many died as a result. Thousands of people in the UK die from mesothelioma and other asbestos diseases. Mesothelioma is an under-researched cancer caused by asbestos.
